When you're thumbing through old photos or pictures from a recent photo shoot, what are the shots you're most drawn to?

When it's me looking through those photos, I like to see the essence of whoever is in front of the camera. For example, I want to see my family enjoying each other and having a good time. I want to see real smiles and emotions. I want to be able to look at my photographs and be able to relive the moment and feel the emotions as if I was actually in that moment again. It's not just about the location or the props, or even looking at the camera; it's about the emotion captured to look back on forever.

I truly believe that photographs are so important. And the best kind tell a story. Remember the phrase, “A picture's worth a thousand words?” My goal for every photo is to have it be worth a thousand and one.

My inspiration comes from light. I love the way lighting changes the essence of an image. I enjoy expanding my knowledge and experiment with light and modifiers.

During the times when I'm not taking photos, I'm busy being a Wife and Mother to two busy kids. You will often find me in an Arena with my Hockey Mom hoodie on and coffee cup in hand. On the off chance we aren't in an Arena we are enjoying the beauty of Mable Lake. I'm blessed with a large family, and thoroughly enjoy all the precious memories we live each day.

Please feel free to send me a message if you would like to chat!

P.S. I am based out of Vernon, BC, but am always open to travel, as well!
